2. The sample preparation is important, as it can affect both instrument performance and signal quality. Specifically, samples that are too thick or contain air bubbles may interfere with accurate analysis.
3. First ensure that all containers used in sampling process are clean and dry. Use a mortar to grind solid materials in order to remove large particles which might cause signal distortion, then put them into a small dish for measurement.

2. Select the appropriate measurement mode based on the characteristics of your material: reflectance / transmittance / attenuated total reflection (ATR).
